Preview: Stockdale Mustangs vs. Dinuba Emperors
The Stockdale Mustangs are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Dinuba Emperors at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Stockdale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 578th, while Dinuba is ranked 157th).
Last Wednesday, Stockdale came up short against Garces Memorial and fell 52-44.
Meanwhile, Dinuba waltzed into their match on Friday with 12 straight wins but they left with 13. They managed a 58-54 win over Mission Oak.
Stockdale has not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Dinuba, they pushed their record up to 25-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Stockdale couldn't quite finish off Dinuba in their previous meeting back in December of 2021 and fell 53-51. Thankfully for Stockdale, Isaiah Martinez (who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
