            Softball Recap: White Plains Tigers vs. Ossining Pride        
        
		
        
        
            White Plains barely beat Ossining the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by  an  8-2 margin over the Pride on Tuesday. The  win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Pride: they've now won nine in a row.
 Ava Galligani and  Maddie Steptoe did most of the damage at the plate:  Galligani  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Steptoe  got on base  in two of her three plate appearances with two  RBI and one  run.  Abby Dorchak was another key player,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with one  run.
 White Plains  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .552. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an  OBP of .500 or higher in five consecutive  games.

White Plains pushed their record up to 15-3 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games.  Coming up, White Plains will head out to  square off against Eastchester  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Ossining does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
