Volleyball Recap: Chloe Bakker Key Part of Team Effort in Bruins Win

Rock Bridge won the last time they faced Hermann and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bruins walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bearcats.

Rock Bridge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 26-24, 25-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rock Bridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Bakker, who had nine digs and three aces. Those nine digs gave Bakker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Allen, who had seven digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Rock Bridge was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They served one more ace than Hermann's also-impressive total of ten.

Hermann's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kealie Lane, who had 27 digs, and Brynlee Ash, who had eight digs and four aces. Chloe Brune also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Rock Bridge's record is now 10-6. As for Hermann, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Rock Bridge has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Smith-Cotton on the 18th. As for Hermann, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Pacific on the 18th.
