Basketball Recap: Benton HomeSchool Takes a Loss

If Benton HomeSchool was feeling good fresh off their 56-30 takedown of Northside L last Sunday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Benton HomeSchool Bucks took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Wayne HomeSchool Hawks on Tuesday. The Bucks haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Fort Wayne HomeSchool got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Reynolds out in front who went 8 of 13 en route to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Trevon Maley, who posted six points along with 11 boards and four steals.

Benton HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Fort Wayne HomeSchool, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Benton HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kokomo HomeSchool at 8:30 p.m. on January 24, 2025. After both having extra time off, Fort Wayne HomeSchool and Angola HomeSchool will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
