There's no place like home for Watauga, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Ardrey Kell Knights 2-1 on Wednesday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Watauga were the better team in the second half.

Evan Mawhinney was the driving force of Watauga's attack as he scored both of Watauga's goals, bringing his season total up to nine goals.

Watauga pushed their record up to 5-3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for Ardrey Kell, they moved to 8-2-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
