Softball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Green Valley's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Green Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Sultana Sultans, falling 11-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Gators have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Lyla Baxter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Lauryn Galvin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Green Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Sultana, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

While Green Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
