Baseball Game Preview: South San Francisco Warriors vs. Westmoor Rams

For the second straight game, South San Francisco will face off against Westmoor. The Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. South San Francisco is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

South San Francisco took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Westmoor a 15-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Oscar Reyes was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Bernal, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

South San Francisco's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Westmoor, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
