Haynes Academy is 9-0 against Lutheran since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. Lutheran took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Haynes Academy, who comes in off a win.

Haynes Academy will head into Thursday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 41) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 victory over St. Martin's Episcopal.

Meanwhile, Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against False River, falling 77-24.

Haynes Academy's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything came up roses for Haynes Academy against Lutheran when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 68-19 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Haynes Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
