Recap: Ramona Rams vs. San Gorgonio Spartans
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Ramona Rams walked away with it. They blew past San Gorgonio 70-13 at home. The win was just what Ramona needed coming off of a 31-10 loss in their prior match.
Ramona was led to victory by Jeremiah Acosta and Sincere Tolbert. Acosta rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, while Tolbert rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Valenzuela, who picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, San Gorgonio still got an impressive performance from Jaevin Sawyer, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Sawyer's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards.
Ramona now has a winning record of 6-5. As for San Gorgonio, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.
Ramona will be playing at home against Palmdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmdale is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. San Gorgonio does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
