Basketball Game Preview: Kempsville Chiefs vs. Green Run Stallions

The Kempsville Chiefs and the Green Run Stallions will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Kempsville strolled past Bayside with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. That 18 point margin sets a new team best for the Chiefs this season.

Meanwhile, Green Run made easy work of Cox on Friday and carried off a 70-49 win. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

Green Run's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Kempsville, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Kempsville lost to Green Run on the road by a decisive 59-43 margin in their previous meeting back in February. Can Kempsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
