Volleyball Recap: San Fernando Takes a Loss

San Fernando was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Castaic Coyotes, falling 3-0.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Castaic scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.

Victor Marin paced San Fernando's offense, picking up seven kills. Marin got some help from Mathew Zapien and his 15 assists. Finally, Marin was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

San Fernando's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Castaic, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

San Fernando wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Monroe on the 14th. As for Castaic, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Gabrielino on the 15th.
