Basketball Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short at Home Against Custer County

Laurel unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 55-42 to the Custer County Cowboys on Friday. The Locomotives were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

The win got Custer County back to even at 1-1.

Laurel will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fergus at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Custer County, they and Park will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
