Baseball Recap: Ozark Takes a Loss

Ozark lost against Glendale back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper Pumphrey was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Marcus Heavin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Ozark's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Glendale, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Ozark will host Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glendale, they will head out on the road to face off against Nixa at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
