The home team had won the previous four meetings between Arroyo and Alameda, and Alameda kept the tradition alive. The Dons took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Dons in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Arroyo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Zamora, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Zamora snagged this season.

Arroyo's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Alameda, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Looking ahead, Arroyo will square off against Piedmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Highlanders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Dons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Alameda, they will challenge Vacaville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
