Basketball Recap: Capital Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Capital, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Valencia Jaguars 35-32. The 35-point effort marked Capital's lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Capital's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Valencia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Capital will challenge Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Valencia, they will take on Socorro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valencia has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
