Softball Recap: Williams Bay Drops Highest Score of Season Against Living Word Lutheran

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Williams Bay). They blew past the Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves 29-18 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-6 on Saturday.

Tatum Hermance was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Brynn Reinhardt was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Williams Bay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Williams Bay pushed their record up to 7-14 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.3 runs over those games. As for Living Word Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Williams Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Living Word Lutheran, they will face off against Brookfield Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
