Whitesboro and Gunter squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Whitesboro had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-5. The Bearcats' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Bradi Gallaway made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Whitesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10. As for Gunter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 26-12.

Looking ahead, Whitesboro will face off against Iowa Park on Saturday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight. Gunter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
