Recap: Ridgeway Roadrunners vs. Southwind Jaguars
The Ridgeway Roadrunners were the 61-57 winner over the Southwind Jaguars when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Ridgeway fell just short of Southwind by a score of 52-50. Ridgeway has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ridgeway's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emanuel Allen, who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds. Joshua Thornton was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 steals.
Ridgeway has yet to win a contest on the road this season, leaving them with a 5-3 record. As for Southwind, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeway won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northpoint Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. Northpoint Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Southwind, they will head out on the road to face off against Bartlett at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bartlett presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southwind in Tennessee (Bartlett is ranked second, while Southwind is ranked 70th).
