Basketball Game Preview: Century Panthers vs. John Marshall Rockets

Century hasn't had much luck against John Marshall recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Century Panthers will take on the John Marshall Rockets at 8:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Century lost to Northfield at home by a 72-53 margin. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Raiders are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, John Marshall blew past Mankato East, posting a 53-26 victory. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by exactly 27 points.

Century's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for John Marshall, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

Century was taken down by John Marshall 63-34 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Century avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
