Football Recap: South River Starts Season with Tie at Home

South River's season-opener on Saturday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. Neither they nor the Milford Mill Academy Millers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 7-7 draw.

Coming up, South River will venture away from home to square off against North County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Seahawks their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Milford Mill Academy, they will have to wait a while for a more definitive result, as their next game is a ways away: they'll take on Richard Wright Public Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on September 5.
