Softball Game Preview: T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets vs. Seneca Bobcats

The T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets will take on the Seneca Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

T.L. Hanna's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Mauldin with a sharp 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Addison Sharp 2028's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Hanna Davis 2028 was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Coakley 2029, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Seneca, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against American Leadership Academy on Friday as Seneca made off with a 14-4 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bobcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Seneca is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. T.L. Hanna's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

T.L. Hanna came out on top in a nail-biter against Seneca in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will T.L. Hanna repeat their success, or does Seneca have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
