Baseball Recap: Beyer Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Beyer came out on top against Johansen on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Patriots took their matchup against the Vikings 7-4. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.

Izaiah Ishihara made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Ishihara was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Rylan Gallegos was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Beyer hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.

Beyer pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Johansen, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Beyer beat the Vikings by a score of 10-0 on Thursday.
