Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln East Spartans vs. Blue Valley North Mustangs

The Lincoln East Spartans and the Blue Valley North Mustangs will face off at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Lincoln East will be strutting in after a victory while Blue Valley North will be coming in after a defeat.

Lincoln East took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Blue Valley by a score of 50-42.

Meanwhile, Blue Valley North unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Lincoln Southeast 55-51. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked third in Kansas, while the Knights are ranked 36th in Nebraska).

Lincoln East's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Blue Valley North, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
