Basketball Recap: Battle Mountain Comes Up Short

Battle Mountain lost against Glenwood Springs back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Battle Mountain Huskies took a 61-47 bruising from the Glenwood Springs Demons. The Huskies' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Despite the loss, Battle Mountain still got an impressive performance from Jackson Wansley, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ascher Drummet, who put up 11 points.

Battle Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Glenwood Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Battle Mountain will face off against Summit at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Battle Mountain is facing Summit at the right time seeing as Summit is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Glenwood Springs, they will square off against Eagle Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eagle Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.3 points per game this season.
