Hortonville is 6-1 against Oshkosh West since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Polar Bears will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Hortonville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Hortonville is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Fond du Lac on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Polar Bears lost 35-13 to the Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Cardinals are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oshkosh West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Appleton East by a score of 21-14 on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Oshkosh West's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Hortonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Hortonville barely slipped by Oshkosh West in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 27-26. Do the Polar Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
