Baseball Recap: Springfield Find Success

The Springfield Tigers were able to grind out a solid victory over the United South Central Rebels on Tuesday, taking the game 9-6.

Brayden Trapp looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Madden Lendt was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Adiel Trevino, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for United South Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for United South Central, they will challenge Medford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
