It was another big night for Zariyah Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds for Starkville. Tootie Lockett was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Northwest Rankin's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Starkville, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
Northwest Rankin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023.
