If Therrell wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Carver, they should've done a better job of containing Tarrianna Jackson. The Carver Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Therrell Panthers 53-51 thanks in part to Jackson, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Therrell lost on Monday, don't look at Azil Hazzard. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 boards. That was a full 51% of Therrell's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caliea Baisden, who earned 12 points.

Carver now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Therrell, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Carver has already played their next matchup, a 38-35 win against Hapeville Charter on the 4th. As for Therrell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-46 loss against Lovett on the 4th.
