Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Hill Longhorns vs. DeSoto Eagles

The Cedar Hill Longhorns will head out to square off against the DeSoto Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Cedar Hill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 73-67 to Waxahachie. The Longhorns have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

DeSoto has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 39-31 to Horn on Friday. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cedar Hill's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for DeSoto, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Cedar Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their game against DeSoto when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory. Will Cedar Hill repeat their success, or does DeSoto have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
