Baseball Recap: Canyon Comes Up Short

Canyon managed to slip by Johnson the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Canyon Cougars lost 11-1 to the Johnson Jaguars on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Canyon now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Johnson, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

While Canyon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
