Volleyball Recap: North Chicago Comes Up Short

North Chicago was the 2-0 winner over Round Lake when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Warhawks fell 2-0 to the Panthers on Tuesday. The Warhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17.

Jose Vences paced North Chicago's offense, picking up nine kills. Vences got some help from Justin Ayala and his nine assists.

North Chicago's defeat dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Round Lake, their victory ended a 21-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-28.

Looking ahead, North Chicago will challenge Zion-Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Round Lake, they will take on Lake Zurich at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
