Crossroads recap October 1, 2013
Van Horn added to the longest winning streak in Crossroads this week by beating AC Prep, 49-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Butler fell to Lamar 74-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cameron Rice ran for 27 yards in the loss.
Zach Matson put up the best numbers in passing as Sherwood fell to Cole Camp. He finished with 5 completions for 147 yards. Matson's favorite target this week was Hunter Davis, who caught 2 passes for 90 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Anthony Winningham and J.j. Rivers, Van Horn has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Winningham leads the league in passing with 578 yards, while Rivers has rushed for 873 yards this season. The Marksmen's Davis leads the league in receiving yards with 231 on 13 catches.

Butler made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,568 from 12,786. The improvement was largely due to a 74-7 victory over Kirk Hannah's team last week.
