Volleyball Recap: Whitefield Academy's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Whitefield Academy was the 2-0 winner over Providence Christian Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The WolfPack fell 2-0 to the Storm on Saturday. The WolfPack's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16.

Whitefield Academy's offense was headlined by Madison Auer and Amaya Moore, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Hayley Funk and her ten assists. Addy Burnett controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Providence Christian Academy to victory were Emmy Moody and Phoebe Wells. Moody had ten digs and two assists, while Wells had four digs and two assists. That's the most assists Wells has posted since September 2nd.

Whitefield Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Providence Christian Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 31-7.

Whitefield Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Fayette County on the 27th. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will challenge Hebron Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
