Basketball Recap: Scintilla Charter Academy Skates Past Highland Christian Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scintilla Charter Academy). They really took it to the Highland Christian Academy EAGLES for the full four quarters, racking up a 95-57 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-25.

Tyler Williams was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 assists. His big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Player #1 was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 15 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Scintilla Charter Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win was the third in a row for Scintilla Charter Academy, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.3 points over those games. As for Highland Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Scintilla Charter Academy and Charlton County will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd.
