Softball Game Preview: Perris Panthers vs. Bloomington Bruins

Perris hasn't had much luck against Bloomington recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will head out to face off against the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

San Jacinto Valley Academy hit Perris with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 13-3 to the Wolves.

Meanwhile, Bloomington came up short against Jurupa Valley on Tuesday, falling 14-4. The contest marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Perris' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bloomington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Perris couldn't quite get it done against Bloomington when the teams last played back in February of 2020 as they fell 6-2. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
