The Lake Buena Vista Vipers will be home for the holidays to greet the Cypress Creek Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Buena Vista will be strutting in after a victory while Cypress Creek will be coming in after a loss.

Lake Buena Vista can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 68-58 victory over Freedom. The victory was just what Lake Buena Vista needed coming off of a 87-63 defeat in their prior match.

Lake Buena Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Johnathan Porter, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 25 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Porter scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Bryan Mwangovya, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. The matchup between Cypress Creek and Hagerty wasn't particularly close, with Cypress Creek falling 63-48. While losing is never fun, Cypress Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while Hagerty is ranked 106th).

Lake Buena Vista's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Cypress Creek, they bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
