Basketball Recap: Apostolic Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Apostolic Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clayton-Bradley Academy Blazers. If the Flames were looking for revenge after losing 53-39 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Among those leading the charge was Aaron Rodgers, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luke Mancuso, who posted four points and three steals.

Apostolic Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Clayton-Bradley Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Berean Christian the next time they take the court. Apostolic Christian Academy will head out to face Berean Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Clayton-Bradley Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
