Basketball Recap: Ocoee Comes Up Short

Ocoee was the 92-67 winner over Hagerty when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ocoee Knights fell to the Hagerty Huskies 68-63.

Hagerty's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Asa Kohn, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 20 points. The game was Kohn's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Nicolas Garces was another key player, going 6 of 9 en route to 16 points and five boards.

Ocoee dropped their record down to 10-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hagerty, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

Ocoee and Hagerty should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Ocoee will face off against Lake Wales at 6:00 p.m. on Monday up 210 places (179 vs. 389). Meanwhile, Hagerty (ranked 201st) will meet Eau Gallie (ranked 585th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
