Basketball Recap: Penns Valley Area Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clearfield, Penns Valley Area was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 68-56 win over the Richland Rams. This was payback for Penns Valley Area, who suffered a 54-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory got Penns Valley Area back to even at 7-7. As for Richland, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penns Valley Area has already played their next matchup (against Bellefonte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Richland will venture away from home to square off against Bishop McCort at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop McCort knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Richland likes a good challenge.
