Gilbert has gone 6-1 against Pella recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Dutch at 5:00 p.m. Gilbert will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Gilbert barely beat Winterset the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Huskies a 6-0 shutout on Monday. The Tigers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since July 12, 2025 (when they won 9-1).

Pella had taken Ballard down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Dutch took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bombers.

Pella has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Gilbert, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Gilbert suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Pella when the teams last played back in June of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
