Basketball Recap: Durham Academy Takes a Loss

Durham Academy lost against North Raleigh Christian Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Durham Academy Cavaliers fell just short of the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights by a score of 43-40. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading North Raleigh Christian Academy to victory were Keaton Rikard and Khloe Moye. Rikard went 10 of 23 on her way to 24 points, while Moye posted 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Moye's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Durham Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Durham Academy will face off against Jordan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Jordan will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Durham Academy surely won't give up without a fight. North Raleigh Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Word of God Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
