Lutcher had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Springfield a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Lutcher, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lutcher's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Springfield, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-13 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lutcher will take on Northshore at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Springfield, they will welcome East Jefferson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
