Recap: Greenbrier Bobcats vs. Portland Panthers
The Greenbrier Bobcats lost against the Portland Panthers two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Greenbrier fell 49-42 to Portland. Greenbrier has not had much luck with Portland recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Greenbrier's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nolan Carson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Carson is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season. Nate Castleman was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Greenbrier's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Portland, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
Greenbrier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-49 victory vs. White House-Heritage on the 12th. Portland has also already played their next contest, a 47-28 victory against Macon County on the 12th.
