Volleyball Recap: Larkin Takes a Loss

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Elgin Maroons. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Maroons earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Elgin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Larkin and Elgin could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Royals will take on Grayslake Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (181 vs. 41). Meanwhile, Elgin (ranked 222nd) will meet St. Charles East (ranked 49th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
