Soccer Recap: Mt. Pleasant Falls Short of Walnut Grove in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mt. Pleasant can now relate to. They lost 7-0 to the Walnut Grove Wildcats on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Wildcats are ranked 30th).

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5-3. As for Walnut Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-1-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Mt. Pleasant nor Walnut Grove have any future games scheduled.
