The home team had won the previous three meetings between Brandon and Madison Central, and Brandon kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 16-25, 25-16, 25-20.

Brandon found their leader in freshman Lynnon Rhodes, who had 13 digs and four assists.

Brandon's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Madison Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Brandon and Madison Central will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs are set to square off against their familiar foe Petal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Madison Central will take on rival Murrah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
