Football Game Preview: Lincoln-Way Central vs. Sandburg

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Lincoln-Way Central. On Friday they take on Sandburg at 7:30 PM. Lincoln-Way Central don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Lincoln-Way Central and Centennial. Lincoln-Way Central made easy work of Centennial last Friday and carried off a 28-0 victory. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Lincoln-Way Central had established a 20-0 advantage.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Sandburg ultimately got the result it was hoping for. They managed a somewhat close 18-14 win over Stagg. The win was a breath of fresh air for Sandburg as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Everything came up roses for Lincoln-Way Central against Sandburg the last time the two teams met as the team secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln-Way Central since the team won't have home-field advantage.
