Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Peotone's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Peotone's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Watseka Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Mia Connolley paced Peotone's offense, picking up 11 kills. Connolley got some help from Allie Werner and her 17 assists. Payton Schnelle controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Peotone's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Watseka, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Peotone will challenge Wilmington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watseka, they will square off against Georgetown-Ridge Farm at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
