Softball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-0 to the Burns Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Gryphons in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Burns, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bessemer City at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Burns, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
