Football Recap: Middletown North Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Middletown North and Brick Memorial squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Middletown North had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Mustangs, falling 28-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in September.

Owen Robson threw for 249 yards on 20 of 32 attempts. Jack Viola was his top target, picking up 109 receiving yards.

Brick Memorial had a senior duo take command as Jason Lajara rushed for 84 yards and two scores on only nine carries and Nazeer Whittaker rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown.

Middletown North's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Brick Memorial, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Middletown North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brick Memorial, they are taking a road trip to challenge Winslow Township at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
